Practical Conservation Volunteer (Help Restore Pierrepont Water Meadow)

Opportunity image

Join us at the beautiful Pierrepont SSSI Water Meadow, a site nationally recognised for its rare lowland mire, rush pasture, and Lowland Meadow Priority Habitat. While the site supports wonderful indicator species such as marsh marigold, large bittercress, and marsh orchid, its biodiversity is currently under threat from dense mats of lesser pond sedge that are crowding out other important plant life. We’re hosting four volunteer sessions to help clear the lesser pond sedge and give this precious habitat the chance to thrive again and we’d love your help! Dates: Friday 8th August Tuesday 12th August Friday 15th August Tuesday 19th August How to get involved: If you'd like to join us, simply click on the time next to your preferred date, below, then click 'Add Shift' to RSVP. Whether you can help for one session or all four, your support will make a real difference. Thank you!
